How Jobify's AI Works
Last updated: July 24, 2024
At Jobify, we leverage cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence to provide you with powerful career tools. Transparency is a core value, so we want to explain how our AI systems work, what data they use, and our commitment to fairness.
AI-Powered Resume Analysis
Our Resume Analyzer is designed to give you an objective evaluation of your resume against a specific job description, simulating how an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) might view your document.
What data is used?
When you use the Resume Analyzer, our AI model receives only two pieces of information:
- The text content extracted from the resume you provide (either by uploading a file or using your saved resume).
- The text of the job description you paste into the form.
This information is used solely for the purpose of generating that single analysis. We do not use your personal resume data to train our AI models.
Is there human review?
Absolutely not. The entire analysis process is automated. To protect your privacy and ensure an unbiased review, no human at Jobify ever sees the resume or job description you provide for analysis.
AI-Powered Interview Practice
Our Interview Practice tool acts as a friendly, professional interviewer to help you prepare and build confidence.
What data is used?
The AI interviewer uses the following information to conduct a relevant and contextual interview:
- Your resume text and the job description to understand your background and the role you're aiming for.
- The history of your current chat conversation to ask relevant follow-up questions and maintain a natural flow.
Is there human review?
No. Your practice interview sessions are completely private. The conversation history is only used during that single session to provide a coherent experience and is not stored or reviewed by humans.
Our Commitment to Fairness & Mitigating Bias
We acknowledge that all AI models have the potential to reflect and amplify existing human biases. While we cannot eliminate bias entirely, we are committed to fairness and are taking active steps to mitigate it.
- Using Trusted Models: We build our features on top of large, well-established language models from industry leaders like OpenAI, who have their own extensive safety and bias mitigation research.
- Careful Prompt Engineering: We design our instructions (prompts) to the AI to be as objective as possible, focusing on skills, experience, and quantifiable achievements rather than demographic or personal information.
- You Are in Control: We encourage you to view our AI's suggestions as a helpful starting point, not a final verdict. The best resume and interview performance comes from combining AI-powered insights with your own unique voice and judgment.
We are continuously working to improve our systems and welcome feedback on how we can make our tools more fair and effective for everyone.
